2018 Ohio Heritage Days Festival at Malabar Farm State Park
The Richland Area Beekeepers Association (RABA) is a regular exhibitor and vendor at the popular Ohio Heritage Days Festival at Malabar Farm State Park. According to www.malabarfarm.org, September 29th & 30th marks the event’s 42nd anniversary. The event is officially titled “Ohio Heritage Days Festival & In the Spirit of Friends Antiques & Primitives Show”, but most RABA members simply refer to it as Malabar Farm Heritage Days. The event is held on the Malabar Farm State Park grounds located at 4050 Bromfield Road, Lucas, OH 44843 from 10 AM to 4 PM. As in past years, RABA members are featuring delicious bottled honey in many sizes, cut comb honey, chunk honey, honey candies, honey sticks, and other tasty treats straight from the hive. There’s even beeswax available if that suits your fancy. Special thanks goes to Richard who pulled a couple of frames from one of his honey bee hives and placed them in an observation hive for viewing. Observation hives are always a crowd favorite! So stop by Malabar Farm September 29th & 30th, 2018 between 10 AM to 4 PM, view the observation hive, ask questions of our beekeepers, and stock up on honey and other items. Local honey makes a thoughtful gift and supports local beekeeping!
